"THE LAUGHTER LAB" - COMEDY WRITING WORKSHOP
What was the last thing that made you laugh on TV? You probably have no idea who was behind the jokes. In which case, let the opening event of the bfm seminars enlighten you, as we introduce you to the world of comedy writing and the people who provide the lines of laughter. This year, bfm has got together with stand-up comedienne, performer and filmmaker - Angie Le Mar to speak about the process of developing different kinds of comedy - as well as cracking a joke or two. There will also be emphasis placed on how particular shows are conceived between writer and commissioner. This seminar is ideal for those with a passion for comedy writing.

"FOR YOUR EYES ONLY" - CINEMATOGRAPHY WORKSHOP

Once again, the 5th annual bfm International Film Festival is to present the Cinematography Workshop as part of this year's seminar programme. Taking place in at the London Television Centre, the workshop is a unique opportunity for talented camera operators to benefit from the aesthetics of cinematography, as demonstrated with the very latest technology.

THE FILMMAKERS' A-Z OF STREAMING - SEMINAR
If you want to find out about encoding and streaming - and how you can use the technology to promote and showcase your films online, then come along for this essential seminar looking at the benefits, implementation process and key applications of streaming media. Eddie Robins, Groovy Gecko's Technical Director and resident streaming guru will guide you through the ins and outs of internet audio and video with a straightforward introduction to encoding, formats, bandwidth issues, hardware, software and all the basic essentials for getting your media online. There will be some great examples to inspire you and an open Q and A session after the talk.

PROJECT ANIMATE
Once again, the 5th annual bfm International Film Festival is to present Project Animate, a one-day event consisting of masterclasses & screenings at the London Television Centre. Essentially, the event will provide people with information regarding animation, contacts and development and business opportunities. It will also give people the opportunity to network with other animators, writers etc. The project is co-ordinated and structured with support from consultants, internal structures and external organisations such as media centres and other animation projects.

In addition to the workshop, bfm will be screening an exciting array of Animation films from the USA, Sweden and the UK.
